I decided I needed to calculate the starting point in 2008 of my Co2 emmsions. Facing the music!
The unfortunate truth is: my home used an @ of 644 kWh per month and 280 gallons of propane per month in 2008.
My total Co2 emissions were 51,741 lbs of Co2. I am ashamed of this negative contribution to the environment, and promise you, my readers, to make as significant a change for the positive as I can in 2010!
The good news is that I have a benchmark year. From here I can take control and calculate improvements. I welcome comments and sharing of your Co2 emissions. I found the ski green Co2 calculator very helpful.
